The Veuve Clicquot flowed on Thursday night at the Clicquot in the Snow official launch party. VIP guests including Australian model and TV presenter Nikki Phillips, musician Dane Rumble, Kathryn Wilson, Kylie Cooke, Aja Rock, David Southcombe, Leanne Malcolm and Australian fashion and lifestyle blogger Steph Adams mingled with the hospitality set at one of Queenstown’s most luxurious private homes ‘the crib’.
Far from its name, the cutting edge modern property designed by leading NZ architect Andrew Patterson was lit up by a Hollywood style Veuve Clicquot sign shining down from the hillside. DJ Justin Sweeney was on the decks as guests sipped Clicquot in front of roaring fires and a private lake.
The party continued at the Clicquot Official After Party at Queenstown hotspot The Bunker before VIPs were whisked back to The Hilton in waiting Audi Quattro S5s.

On Friday 1st of August, Clicquot in the Snow guests including musician Dane Rumble and model Nikki Phillips as well as shoe designer Kathryn Wilson celebrated an evening of champagne and delicious food at The Hilton’s Wakatipu Grill. An audacious menu created especially for the event by head chef Frederic Monnier consisted of five courses, each matched to one of Clicquot’s star champagnes.
Guests were treated to gourmet canapés with Veuve Clicquot Yellow label, Pork belly with scallops matched with Veuve Clicquot Rosè. A fish course of Akaroa Salmon, lemon foam, broad beans and little neck clams broth was matched to Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2004.
An undeniable highlight of the evening was the main, Sous Vide free range chicken roulade, porcini mousse, fondant potato, roasted beets and jus gras matched with the ultimate star of the champagne house, Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame.
The perfect sweet ending was Heilala vanilla cheesecake, texture of pineapple, sorbet and coconut crumbs perfectly paired with Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rosé followed by a flute outside by the fire pit. The evening was perfectly wrapped together by host Greg Williams who entertained guests with many a Clicquot tale.
