Restaurants boost the New Zealand story

With the holiday season in full swing, a select group of restaurants nationwide are enjoying bragging rights of their newly acquired accolade – The 2018 Beef and Lamb Excellence Award – and in turn their customers are enjoying some tasty and skilfully composed beef and lamb dishes.

Chef’s in New Zealand are spoilt for choice with an array of fresh seasonal produce at their fingertips including our beautifully grown New Zealand beef and lamb which rates amongst the best in the world.

Last year, as part of the 2018 Beef and Lamb Excellence Awards, Beef and Lamb New Zealand scoured the country from the top of the North Island to the deep South, sending out culinary trained assessors to locate restaurants serving the best beef and lamb cuisine.

Each of the 178 awarded restaurants, as well as delivering on service and atmosphere, deliver something a little unique. Be it a beautiful outdoor setting, perfect for languishing over a long summery lunch or something a bit more extravagant like a degustation menu matched with stunning wines for a special celebration.
