McDonald’s recently opened its new flagship restaurant in New York’s Times Square, following a massive renovation. The 11,200-sq.-ft., three-storey building is expected to become one of the busiest McDonald’s locations in the U.S.
“With this restaurant renovation, our food is positioned in the centre of the cultural hotbed that is New York City — in a beautifully designed space that can be replicated across the U.S.,” says Chris Kempczinski, president U.S.A., McDonald’s.
The modern location was designed by Landini Associates and Progressive AE and features glass walls which allow guests to view Times Square. The 173-seat dining room allows guests to order food through traditional means via staff and counter, or self-order through the McDonald’s mobile app or the location’s 18 digital kiosks.
