A new luxury class boat will be launched early next year in Milford Sound to cater to customers seeking just that added extra comfort level. The new “Gem of the Sound “ vessel – which is 29 metres long, will offer three levels of seafaring opportunities, with expansive glass roofs, external and covered decks and smart dining facilities able to accommodate up to 260 passengers three times daily. In line with Tourism New Zealand’s strategy to grow the top end luxury market, the new vessel will feature a fully international standard buffet with banquette seating and a light filled dining area. She is currently undergoing a complete refit in Brisbane.
“Gem will offer an exceptional level of comfort, hospitality and an outstanding experience at a level previously unseen in Milford Sound,” says Jucy Southern Lakes General Manager Kat van Dijk.
And confirming its commitment to the New Zealand tourism industry a new Jucy Snooze purpose built hotel, consisting of ensuite and family rooms, dormitory style beds and single pods is on track to open in Queenstown’s CBD late 2017.
