JW Marriott Auckland has today unveiled the completion of its first highly anticipated rooms renovation. This marks the next milestone on the hotel’s $25M refurbishment to achieve an elevated and distinctive luxury hospitality with 40 renovated rooms, set to be ready to stay by the end of 2023.
Designed by 037 Design Studio, the room weaves elements of Auckland’s surrounding natural environment and city centre to create a space that both inspires and revitalises guests.
Incorporating fluted glass and marble elements into the spacious rooms, alongside state of the art smart check in, and environmental controls, collaboration between old and new is at the heart of preserving the legacy of the Lower Albert Street building, while redefining mindful luxury travel.
“Embarking on a renovation of this size, and to this calibre, we have been conscious of perfecting every detail of the first room to provide a true luxury experience, perfectly tailored to visitors’ needs,” said Girish Talreja, General Manager of JW Marriott Auckland. “We look forward to continuing this journey, working with local vendors and artists, to curate a space that embraces and showcases the essence of New Zealand.”
Located in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, situated centrally to the Viaduct Harbour, Commercial Bay, and the Auckland Sky Tower, the international brand has set out to change the way travellers’ experience New Zealand, rejuvenating mind, body and spirit.
With tourism in New Zealand rising with a steady trajectory, the JW Marriott Auckland is set to offer an elevated luxury experience to both domestic and international travellers, for all their needs, with renovated meeting spaces and all day dining restaurant next on the cards to be revealed.
