Foodies who choose to go alcohol-free are in for a treat this July, with fine dining restaurant Sid at The French Café offering up a special trio of Seedlip cocktails paired to the new winter menu.
In a nod to Dry July, restaurant manager Simon Benoit has designed the three cocktails to be paired with specific dishes on the menu – whether diners choose the tasting, vegetarian or à la carte options.
For example, the Seedlip Garden, chamomile, cucumber and aloe perfectly complements the Mt Cook salmon, cucumber, nasturtium dish while the while dry aged duck, celeriac, almond and coffee is matched with a Seedlip Spice cocktail infused with cascara and grapefruit.
Not to be outdone, the Seedlip Grove cocktail with French Café honey infused with ginger and lemon pairs perfectly a number of dishes including the dessert of chocolate, sherry, sorrel and cherry blossom.
The Sid at The French Café Seedlip trio of cocktails can be purchased seperately for $15 each or as a bundle for $40. All cocktails are available from July 1 – 31.
And it’s not just Sid at The French Cafe embracing Dry July – a selection of bars and restaurants around Auckland and beyond will be serving up their own special Seedlip non-alcoholic cocktails for the month.
These include the Mango Sour from Cassia, the Seedlip Garden Granita from Han, an Otaku Mule from Azabu, and a Green Placebo from Depot – all delicious non-alcoholic options for the growing number of Kiwis participating in Dry July or anybody else simply choosing not to drink.
