This September, an inutiative called Food Space is bringing together a perfectly curated selection of Auckland’s most delectable mobile food vendors, for a special celebratory meal – and there’s plenty to go round. Come Saturday September 12th, the revitalised Daldy Street Park in Auckland’s historic urban precinct, Wynyard Quarter, will be transformed into Auckland’s biggest and most delicious mobile food court.
This isn’t your average meals on wheels. It’s a refreshing collection of the best mobile food vendors operating citywide in Auckland. Food Space vendors are passionate people who serve selections from fresh, unique and conscientious menus out of trucks, vans, carts and pop-ups around the city. It brings a whole new meaning and standard to the term ‘takeaway’.
From 11:00am until late on Saturday 12th September this urban, family-friendly park will buzzing with the sights and smells of offerings from the likes of The Roaming Dive, Acho, Blooms Pretzels, Fritz’s Wieners, Langos, Ryan’s Kitchen, Stumpy’s Pizza, Tiger Burger, The Food Truck and Yummy Thai. Sweet teeth have not been forgotten – get your fix from Berry Yummy, Lalele Organics, Toro Churro, Sweet Val’s and much more.
There will also be live music – Daldy Street Park will be humming with Auckland’s hottest DJs and entertainment, making the Food Space Launch the supreme Saturday event for a Spring meal. It will be a food event like no other in Auckland – an urban, international mobile food court celebrating the best vendors out there. Stop by Daldy Park on 12th September for a bite, or many.
