Domino’s had announced earlier this week its new Meals For Seniors initiative in response to the government’s request for citizens to remain at home. With any senior citizen, over 70, that lives within a Domino’s delivery territory eligible for a meal delivered to their home for free.
Following the government’s clarification of essential food businesses and the country’s move to Alert Level 4 Domino’s will move to temporarily close all New Zealand stores at 8pm tonight, prior to the governments deadline.
This week Domino’s committed to supporting some of our most vulnerable Kiwis, those over 70. Although they are having to close, as soon as they reopen, they will continue to serve New Zealand’s senior citizens with a hot fresh meal, as promised.
Domino’s say they have been incredibly busy feeding the frontline workers in this crisis and will spend their final hours getting as many pizzas to them as possible to say thank you for their ongoing sacrifice and strength.
Domino’s say they are proud to be a part of the New Zealand community, and are committed to doing what they can to slow the spread of the virus, and to keep their team members, customers and communities safe.
