The Hilton Sydney DISCOVERED at Marble Bar series has announced a highly experienced expert judging panel for the 2015 competition that includes Rolling Stone Australia editor Rod Yates, Heath Bradby, Head of A&R at Warner Music Australia, theMusic.com.au’s Digital Editor, Sally Hurley celebrity and singer/songwriter and winner of the X-Factor 2011, Reece Mastin.
Completing the stellar line up, the incomparably hilarious host with the most Jason Davis (aka Jabba) will once again join us as MC for the big night.
DISCOVERED at Marble Bar is a social media driven competition where live bands and performers are encouraged to upload their demos through Marble Bar’s Facebook page in the hope of winning the coveted prize of a two month residency worth $10,000 at the iconic Sydney Bar. The general public will then judge the contestants and by their vote the top five finalists will be selected. Voting for DISCOVERED is simple – people can simply head to Marble Bar’s Facebook page and vote for their favourite performers online.
The top five acts, selected by the public’s vote, will be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to battle it out live at a finale showcase to be held at Marble Bar on Wednesday 25 March 2015 in front of a team of expert judges. In addition to the panel of judges, bands will perform in front of a selection of VIP industry, media and the MC of the evening. The winner will then be selected by the public’s vote in conjunction with that of our team of expert judges. The victorious act will win a two-month residency playing every Wednesday night at Marble Bar from April 2015 valued at $10,000.
Voting is via Marble Bar’s Facebook page: 5– 19 March, 2015, with the top five announcement happening the following day. The Grand Finale takes place on Wednesday 25 March, 2015 and is set to be a brilliant night out.
