Following the Government announcement of a move to Alert Level 3 from April 28, Auckland’s Coffee Station kiosks has geared up to fulfil Kiwi’s espresso cravings.
In line with government guidelines, it will be serving coffees and other hot beverages at selected Auckland train stations. Items can be click and collected via online through their website or app with first timers offered a discount.
With kiosks located in four of Auckland’s main train stations, Newmarket, Panmure, New Lynn and Papakura, customers will be able to park right outside train stations to pick up their coffees – all from a safe distance and in line with health and safety requirements.
Martin Howard, Owner, Coffee Station Espresso Kiosks is offering to lend a hand to his competitors, stating that this is a time for the hospitality industry to support one another.
“Our industry has been devastatingly impacted over the past month so what happens next will determine if New Zealand owned businesses like ours and others can continue to service our local neighbourhoods.
“We are fortunate that we introduced an app ordering system three years ago. Prior to the lockdown over 20% of our orders were from the app. Our team is working around the clock to ensure that we have the right health and safety measures in place to open again at 6:30am on Tuesday morning.
“Our whole industry needs to work together to save jobs. I am happy for any small cafe owners to contact me if they need general advice or help to set up their own online ordering systems.”
Martin Howard says customers are already signing up to get their coffee fix next week.
“In the last few days, the word has been spread by our loyal customers and we have seen a big increase in new customers signing up for our app. We are seeing this as a positive sign.”
The Coffee Station APP can be downloaded by searching for ‘Coffee Station’ in Google Play or Apple App store and simply install or order online at www.coffeestation.co.nz. New customers will receive their first hot drink on the app at half price.
