Shree Borishaha has been appointed General Manager of Club Wyndham Wanaka.
The 68-apartment Club Wyndham Wanaka is a lodge-style resort close to Otago’s Lake Wanaka, and its apartments are currently undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment which Shree will help supervise. To date the reception area and bar have been refreshed, while a project to refurbish all apartments recently began and is scheduled to finish by the end of 2023.
Shree has been employed in leadership roles over his eight years in hospitality, most recently as General Manager at Parehua Resort in Martinborough.
“Shree has worked for global names in hospitality and has an exceptional track record leading and developing high performing teams, exceeding business targets and delivering incredible customer experiences while keeping control over costs,” said Senior Vice President Resort Operations for Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, Warren Cullum.
“The responsibility Shree has been given in a relatively short hospitality career shows the development opportunities available to people who work hard and show promise in the industry,” he added.
Shree has spent his working career in Christchurch, Wellington, Queenstown and Martinborough and has made a point of supporting each community through a position on a tourism board and charity memberships. He has both Bachelor and Masters degrees in Hospitality Management.
The resort offers a diverse range of accommodation options, from spacious studios to the expansive four-bedroom Presidential suite, boasting luxuries like a generous balcony with hot tub, full kitchen, wet bar, gas fire with stone fireplace, and underfloor heating. Resort facilities include a heated pool with waterslide, spa, gym, barbecue facilities, ski drying room and onsite bar and café.
Club Wyndham Wanaka is part of Club Wyndham South Pacific, one of the region’s leading vacation clubs offering close to 60,000 members access to 52 resorts across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
Shree commenced his hospitality career as Night Manager in nearby Queenstown and has also served as a Hotel Duty Manager, Front Office Manager and Head of Operations.
