Langham Hospitality Group has announced an agreement with Canapaya Development Co. Ltd to manage a luxury hotel by the banks of Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Only ten minutes from Sathorn CBD, the hotel is surrounded by majestic views of the river and city. The Langham, Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is expected to open in 2021.

Led by Bangkok based firms, P & T Architecture, award-winning PIA Interior Designs and Belt Collins for landscaping, The Langham, Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is poised to be a leading luxury hotel in the city. Featuring classic yet contemporary furnishings, each of the 207 rooms and 43 suites is equipped with The Langham signature Blissful bed and separate bathrooms with rain showers and bathtubs in an urban resort style. Half of the deluxe rooms will have balconies with a 180 degree view of the Chao Phraya River while the other half will have the view of both the river and the city. For guests that prefer a more luxurious stay and added space may choose to stay at the one-, two- or three-bedroom suites that range from 80 to 205 square metres. Guests may opt for suites with separate kitchens which allow cooking and private entertaining.
Positioned to be the social centre of Bangkok’s community and preferred venue to host major events, weddings, high level conferences and launches in the city, The Langham will have one of the largest luxury ballroom in the city at 1,500 square metres with a spectacular frontage and vista over the Chao Phraya River. The Langham will also be the first luxury hotel to have its own fully operational private pier to provide private transportation to guests.
To host Bangkok’s most high profile weddings, The Langham will have its own exclusive bridal chapel and a bridal suite for the most memorable nuptial events. There is also an outdoor terrace overlooking the Chao Phraya River for alfresco events.
Bangkok ranks high on the culinary map and The Langham will also live up to the city’s epicurean reputation by offering some of the finest dining experience in the city. Headlining the dining experiences will be T’ang Court, offering fine Cantonese cuisine following its three Michelin starred namesake in Hong Kong. Chinese cuisine is one of the key signatures of Langham Hospitality Group and the group’s Chinese restaurants in hotels in Hong Kong and Shanghai have all achieved the coveted Michelin awards.
The specialty lobby lounge, Palm Court will serve Afternoon Tea, a mid-day indulgence first served at The Langham, London since 1865. The tradition continues at all Langham Hotels and Resorts globally and will be a highlight at Palm Court at The Langham, Bangkok. There will an all-day dining restaurant serving international cuisine, an alfresco dining at the pool bar and grill restaurant and a specialty restaurant located at the promenade with an expansive view of the pier.
Chuan Spa will also make its debut in Bangkok at The Langham. The award-winning spa and wellness brand will focus on holistic treatments through integrating the principles of traditional Chinese medicine using the five elemental forces of wood, fire, earth, metal and water to relax and invigorate the body, mind and soul. A 50 metre Olympic-sized outdoor pool overlooking the Chao Phraya River will also be a key feature in the spa and wellness part of the hotel.
