If you’re hankering for fresh hand-made burgers with bespoke house-made sauces alongside a cool craft beer or bourbon, SKYCITY Auckland’s newest opening, Andy’s Burgers & Bar, is the place to be.
Opening on Friday 18 December, complementing SKYCITY’s award-winning Federal Street dining precinct, Andy’s Burgers & Bar will boast an uncomplicated menu underpinned by ‘simple things done well’.
SKYCITY Auckland General Manager John Mortensen says Andy’s is an exciting addition to SKYCITY’s food and beverage offering. “We’re excited to welcome everyone to Andy’s Burgers & Bar. Andy’s is the spot you can rely on for great food, good company, great chat and a cold beer,” says Mr Mortensen.
The menu has been carefully crafted by head chef Renato Passoni Ribeiro using premium ingredients and unique recipes including his very own artisan sauces made fresh on site.
“We’ve had a lot of fun planning, tasting and testing the menu. Every burger, side and milkshake has been specially designed – right down to the sauce, bun and pickle. Each flavour is considered to create a burger that’s simple in design but so delicious – we’re sure you’ll notice the difference,” he says.
All the meats and eggs are free-range or sustainably farmed in New Zealand. Fresh produce will be locally sourced from the finest suppliers, except for the award-winning world-famous McClure’s Pickles, sourced from Detroit in the United States.
The 250 person capacity venue, set on level two of SKYCITY Auckland’s refurbished atrium and open 24 hours a day, will look and feel like an American burger bar with booths, bar top stools and table options. Andy’s Burgers & Bar will be SKYCITY’s foremost sports bar, broadcasting multiple sports channels and coverage of major sporting event on screens throughout.
