Alto-Shaam, a global leader and innovator in the foodservice equipment industry, has appointed Burns & Ferrall as its new distribution partner in New Zealand.
Founded in 1948, Burns & Ferrall – which describes itself as being ‘the innovative heart of Kiwi hospitality’ – is a leading commercial and domestic kitchen and foodservice equipment company in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The new partnership will see Burns & Ferrall use its expertise and knowledge of the local market to promote and sell Alto-Shaam’s range of total kitchen solutions including its innovative Vector® Multi-Cook Ovens, next-generation Cook & Hold Ovens and industry-leading heated holding solutions.
Tracy Bennett, Alto-Shaam’s Regional Sales Manager for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim, says Burns & Ferall’s passion, determination and desire to embrace new technology make them the ideal partner in the region.
“We knew we’d get the benefit of the direct and trusted relationship that Burns & Ferrall has with its customers,” she says, “and that connection was really important to us.”
“As an industry leader, their expertise and knowledge will help to create that level of excitement which is important, demonstrating and showcasing our full range of foodservice solutions that are genuinely world class.”
Tony Broome, Burns & Ferrall Director, says the two businesses share the same vision and commitment to delivering outstanding levels of customer service and support. “With our focus on the future of technology and the evolution of the kitchen, we’re very excited to welcome Alto-Shaam to the Burns & Ferrall family of truly innovative brands.”
“We’re extremely proud of the reputation we have built when it comes to service and support excellence. Similarly, Alto-Shaam strives to make the process of incorporating their technology as easy as possible. With our new state-of-the-art showroom in Auckland, we are the perfect match to facilitate this level of customer support.”
The announcement follows the recent installation of an Alto-Shaam Vector Oven at the Esther restaurant in the QT Hotel in Auckland.
Thanks to Alto-Shaam’s Structured Air Technology®, Vector Multi-Cook Ovens can cook twice as much food up to two-times faster than their traditional counterparts—all in a ventless, compact footprint.
The patented technology enables high velocity, focused heat for faster, more even cooking, ensuring the highest quality output. Featuring up to four independent ovens in one, operators can control the temperature, fan speed and cook time in each individual oven chamber, and simultaneously cook a variety of menu items with no flavour transfer.
