Nanuku Resort Fiji $12m redesign provides tranquil balance

Nanuku Resort Fiji has unveiled an extensive $12 million redesign. The resort’s suites, residences and public spaces blend contemporary comfort with authentic Fijian character, offering guests an updated and even more immersive and luxurious island experience.

With 37 luxurious suites, residences and villas ranging from one to six bedrooms, the resort creates memorable guest experiences as a “home away from home.” Key features of the redesign include streamlined, high-quality furnishings that amplify a sense of calm and relaxation, while drawing attention to the lush surroundings.

Serene Colour Palette

Led by Parisa O’Connell Studio (POC), the redesign focused on creating a harmonious balance between the resort’s traditional Fijian roots and modern luxury expectations. The refreshed suites and spaces feature a serene colour palette of rich island tones, contemporary touches, and carefully curated Fijian details.

“Our primary goal was to find a balance that maintained the authenticity of the original structures while freshening and modernising the details and furnishings,” said Parisa O’Connell, Principal Designer at POC. “We aimed to create a sense of natural tropical comfort with a minimalist palette, enhanced by intricate Fijian influences.”

The redesign complements Nanuku’s existing amenities and over 50 activities, including:

•            Private pools and outdoor showers for each accommodation

•            Kanavata Restaurant & Lounge offers Pacific Rim cuisine and international fare

•            Lomana Spa & Wellness Centre

•            Day trips to Nanuku’s private island

•            Trekking through lush jungles to discover a three-pool waterfall
