Auckland’s award-winning boutique hotel, Hotel Grand Windsor has joined the Fable Hotels & Resorts group.
The luxury 5-star hotel is located in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, on Queen Street and officially opened under the Fable banner on December 17 after recently claiming the award for Best Hotel at the Hospitality NZ Awards 2021.
The 79-room hotel is now the flagship property in Auckland for the Fable Hotels & Resorts group, and boasts a bespoke range of rooms, from the Classic to the sumptuous ‘Duchess’ and ‘Windsor’ Suites, with jewel tones and a nod to the art deco origins of the hotel throughout the property.
Chris Dickinson, Cluster General Manager at Fable Auckland, says the transition to Fable has been seamless.
“Our team is passionate about looking after our guests and both brands have a shared sense of what makes an extraordinary stay, with outstanding attention to detail,” said Mr Dickinson.
“Bringing to life the signature ‘twist’ of the Fable brand experience to complement our exceptional guest service is an exciting evolution for this well-loved and globally-celebrated hotel.”
Cooke’s Restaurant & Bar pays homage to the eatery of the same name in the first Windsor House, with a special focus on using only the freshest local organic produce, a tailored wine list and carefully crafted cocktail trolley. The iconic High Tea service and all-day dining has set Cooke’s on the map for ‘must-try’ dining in the central city.
The hotel is broadening its offering in 2022 with the planned addition of two conference rooms, catering for up to 80 delegates.
Positive environmental contributions are also a key focus for the hotel, which holds the Qualmark Gold Enviro Award that recognises best practice in sustainability and environmental impact.
Fable Auckland aspires to balance the careful consistency of an international-standard boutique hotel, with bespoke, uncommon twists that elevate a guests’ experience into something rare and memorable.
