Heart of Auckland has postponed Restaurant Month following the COVID-19 Alert Level 3 lockdown implemented on August 12 and currently extended to August 26.
The event’s website encourages people to “Stay safe. Stay home. All events are postponed while we are at Alert Level 3, and non-essential businesses closed. Some restaurants are open for takeaways, and some retailers will trade online.”
Hosted by some of the city centre’s best known chefs, the series normally aims to take diners on a culinary journey exploring the dishes that have inspired and influenced the careers of these local chefs. Restaurant month was scheduled to run from August 1 – 31, 2020.
