The launch of a High Tea experience at Crowne Plaza Queenstown has proved so successful it’s now being offered to meetings, conventions and business events clients.
Crowne Plaza Queenstown is renowned as the ‘hotel of choice’ for the C&I market, hosting hundreds of delegates each year from large conferences to incentive groups and intimate meetings.
The beautiful High Tea menu was rolled out earlier this year, and has proved hugely popular from day one. It will now be available as a higher-end option for any MICE bookings.
The High Tea is subject to change depending on seasonal availability, and includes a selection of top-quality finger sandwiches, a variety of homemade scones served with whipped cream, butter and raspberry jam, and sweets such as red fruit macarons, a chai cheesecake and an orange crème brulée, all served on a three-tiered cake stand.
The perfect afternoon tea break in a busy day includes a range of Dilmah teas and barista coffee for $26 per person, or organisers can add a touch of luxury with a glass of Brancott Estate bubbles for $34 per person.
Crowne Plaza Queenstown has three contemporary conference rooms and a boardroom, all overlooking stunning Lake Wakatipu, and threesixty restaurant is often used for pre-event canapes and drinks.
Crowne Plaza Queenstown General Manager Reinier Eulink said Head Chef Mirco Turtischi had a well-deserved reputation for designing banqueting menus, and the High Tea offering was further proof of his culinary expertise.
“Feedback on the range of delicate homemade cakes and savoury delicacies he creates has been extremely positive,” he said.
“Our High Tea experience is a lovely afternoon treat, or it can be a morning tea option too. It’s perfect for guests in the throes of a demanding business day, or incentive groups enjoying the rewards of their business success.
“Our guests demand the best and we’re proud to continue to deliver on that promise.
“For our conference and incentive guests we’re the home of inspiring meetings in a very inspirational setting in the heart of Queenstown.”
