Successful home delivery service My Food Bag is adding a tipple or two to its menus for existing customers with a new add-on called My Wine Match.
My Wine Match has been introduced in response to demand from customers says My Food Bag New Zealand CEO Theresa Gattung.
“We aim to constantly innovate in our business by responding to customer feedback. They have indicated a wine match option would be a popular addition to the My Food Bag repertoire,” Ms Gattung says.
My Wine Match showcases a number of leading New Zealand vineyards and is carefully paired with the Gourmet Bag menus. Customers can order two bottles of red or two bottles of white wine sourced from the nation’s best regions.
My Food Bag says the whites are typically suited to fish, chicken or vegetarian dishes while the reds are matched to recipes featuring red or wild meats.
“With such a wide range of wine options customers will enjoy trying new styles, flavours and bouquets transforming our recipes in to the full restaurant experience, at home,” Ms Gattung says.
Although My Wine Match is paired with Gourmet Bag recipes, the wines selected are versatile so they can be equally enjoyed with My Food Bag’s other offerings, My Classic Bag and My Family Bag.
The service is available now with first deliveries from 24 August. It costs $37.99 for two bottles of white and $39.99 for two reds.
NOTE: The red wine match for the first week of deliveries is Gimblett Road Hawke’s Bay Syrah and Three Paddles Martinborough Pinot Noir, The white wine match is Matawhero Gisborne Chardonnay and Jules Taylor Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
