Chelsea Winter has continued to divide and conquer since she first hit our TV screens, winning MasterChef New Zealand in 2012. With three cookbooks already released At My Table, Everyday Delicious and Homemade Happiness (best selling cookbook of 2015), Chelsea has just released her fourth highly anticipated cookbook, Scrumptious, which looks set to become a best-seller.
This stunning cookbook features over 90 delicious recipes in which Chelsea shares her idea of what tasty, relaxed and of course scrumptious, food is all about. She has set her recipes to be easy to follow and use ingredients that are readily available to the everyday “Joe”, which appeals to novices in the kitchen through to the more advanced home cook. The recipes are accompanied by beautiful photographs by Tam West, showcasing the stunning dishes that can be whipped up and also a few snaps of Chelsea, her friends and family and adorable dog, Sprite.
Chelsea shares her tips to create stunning yet simple dishes like Barrier-style Pan-fried fish, a recipe created based on her personal experiences at Great Barrier Island plus Coconut-poached Chicken Noodle Salad, a lovely fresh, tasty and healthy salad. Last but far from least, a Self-crusting Spinach & Feta Quiche, both cheesy and delicious with no need to fuss around with a crust, to name a mere few of the divine recipes to choose from.
With so many options ranging from quick yet delicious dinners, home baked treats, indulgent desserts and even a festive Christmas section full of Chelsea’s favourite holiday season recipes, Scrumptious will appeal to a broad range of foodies and has something for everyone. Scrumptious will make a perfect gift under the Christmas tree this year or make a fine addition to your own cookbook collection, providing motivation and inspiration to get in the kitchen and recreate these delectable dishes and share with family and friends.
